Paul McCartney recently talked about a possible collaboration with the Gorillaz on the website TheQuietus.com. The king of british pop’s interest in the Gorillaz proves the quality of this band, who recently published two albums. Damon Albarn; Gorillaz frontman, lead singer and an ex-member of the Britpop band Blur; has made some of the most diverse contributions to the music scene this decade. He is the creator of eclectic pop for his band. Through the participation of the artist Jamie Hewlett, Albarn manages to add a graphic element to the project.
Each album tells a real story about each virtual member of the band by using the lyrics of the songs to narrate their stories.
Albarn mixes a multitude of musical styles. Numerous collaborations with artists like Paul Simonon and Lou Reed create songs which are unique.

There are many young artists rappers all over the world who try to follow Wiz Khalifa, American rapper based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. If you like him, you will surely like this young man named XV. He first gained major attention after the release of his twelfth mixture “Everybody's Nobody”. In which he received two awards from DJBooth.net. His name, XV, refers to the age (15) at which he began to create music. His voice is really similar to the one of Wiz Khalifa and he seems to take example on him. Although his career has just started, he seems on the right path to become one of the greatest artists of ever. As a great fan of Wiz Khalifa, you should definitely listen to XV’s work, you will not be disappointed.

Tijs Michiel Verwest was born in Breda, North Brabant, Netherlands on January 17, 1969. He had an interest in music since the age of twelve. When he was fourteen he decided to dedicate more time to it and began DJing professionally at school parties. He then moved on to become a resident DJ between 1985 and 1994 at several clubs in the Netherlands after his manager and friend Wilfred encouraged him. However, it was at The Spock, a small club in Breda, where he was able to fine-tune his own style by playing in a separate room from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. on weekends. In the beginning of his career, as a DJ he played mostly New Beat and acid house.Check out the band 20 Reasons Taken.
